After the sale and conversion of the Stadthaus Schlump, the Schlumper artists’ collective found a new home at Neuer Kamp 30.
Since 1998, the studio has been located in the Old Cattle Slaughterhouse in St. Pauli – between the Karolinen and Schanzen districts, opposite Feldstraße underground station, right in the heart of Hamburg.
Built in 1911, the Cattle Slaughterhouse was redesigned by STEG in close cooperation with the heritage conservation authorities and today offers space for a variety of uses. The Schlumper studio occupies around 350 m² of the building across two levels. A surrounding gallery with open studio bays provides an unobstructed view throughout the entire workspace.
In addition to the artists’ workspaces, current works are always on display in the studio. These can be viewed and purchased on Sundays or by appointment.
